From March 14 to 27, 2023, Ujima members voted on our investment ballot for Comfort Kitchen. We successfully reached quorum on the 2023 Comfort Kitchen Investment Ballot on Friday, March 24, 2023. Members overwhelmingly approved a $200,000 loan over 4 years. Overall, 58.02% of the electorate participated in this vote.

In January 2023, after being named as a business loved by members, Comfort Kitchen joined Ujima’s Good Business Alliance, a network of community-based businesses that are eligible for investment from the Ujima Fund and other supportive programs.
