Ashé Ashé: Dreams of You This Morning features the work of over 60 artists and organizers whose work represents a breadth of artistic mediums, with distinctive practices that share the impulse to create intersectional connections with communities of color. These projects allow us not only to re-envision ourselves but to see the possibilities of the spaces, places, and people all around us.
In October 2021 we invited cultural producers, organizers, creatives, artists, and more, to apply for The Ashe Ashe Grant. Ashé means the power to create that which you speak. Ashé means life force. We invite our viewers to see the work of community members who are bringing joy and life to our ears, eyes and bodies.
The Ashe Ashe Cultural Assembly Grant was funded by the following partner organizations: Boston Ujima Project, Black Economic Council of MA, Artisan Asylum, Assets 4 Artists, The CreateWell Fund, Mayor’s Office of Art & Culture, Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Racial Equity, and New England Foundation for the Arts. We thank you.
